With the properly sized supply, yes. However, even with a billion watt supply, you can only charge a 5s pack at 5.7A because of the 120W limitation of the charger. If you use a 100W supply, the charger will also be limited to 100W and will only be able to charge a 5s pack at 4.7A.

MM's link is for a specialized computer supply, probably for a proprietary server of some kind. The one in my post is a power supply you can get at any computer shop. BTW: mine has a cover - i just removed it to show the internal wiring.

I see. I guess my problem is this. I only need to charge at 5 to maybe 6 amps. I wouldn't mind doing dual packs, but not necessary. As stated, i have 2s2p and a 3s2p. i need a power supply that i can mod to charge these with my EOS 7i. So, with that said, what will work? LOL, it's too many numbers for me, i need lamens terms! LOL thanks brian! brain, brian g! What supply can i use that is cost effective and i can charge from my home and not just DC? one pack at a time or two, doesn't matter. thanks brian!

Brian, why do you use Female deans on the charger?

The supply has females because males would short easily if it wasn't plugged into something. Nick, were do you see a picture of a charger though?

Because you should always use the female plug on the power source to prevent accidental shorting.

Not really. It says 222w, but that's for all the supplies grouped together. Note how the 12v line is only good for 6A? That's only 72W. You want about 13-15A on the 12v line. This one is good for 18A on the 12v line and is only $40. The one MM suggested has a higher current rating, but also looks a little larger as well.

[Edit]: Note - there are other cheaper ones, but the guts are probably chintzy. The Thermaltake model in the link is a well-known brand, and has MANY good user reviews.

Thanks Brian. I got the one you linked. Now for the hard part. What is it going to need to convert???? Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will it be able to charge both my packs? Or just one at a time?
