I think 3amps on a UBEC is a good target to shoot for, especially with the more powerfuly servos in MTs. Will you be using a 9920 (no built-in LVC)?
If you want to get the CellShield, I suggest you contact Dimension Engineering and see what they say about using it in cars. Otherwise, you might be the guinea pig :024:.
