The Lehner xl3100 on 12 cells will keep up with or beat the Feigao on 14 cells. The xl2400 or xl2800 is closer in power to the Feigao 9L. The Lehner basicxl motors are very powerful little motors. I use them in my trucks now mostly. They are lighter and more efficient then the Feigaos and really pack some punch. The Feigaos definately are great motors for the money, but in my light weight race trucks, I have been running the Lehners motors this year. The Feigao motors have more torque (drives more like a pickup truck vs a sport car feel of the Lehner) and may be a better choice for the heavy weight crowd. My race trucks are all in the 8 pound range RTR. A 12 pound truck would be better served with a larger motor (not that the lehner wouldn't work-it would work fine).
