I would pass. Clods are good at crawling, not so much going fast. The motors on the gearboxes is a lot of unsprung weight, and hurts suspension action when you're trying to go fast and bomb across stuff. Still, if you are going to do it, go with the 4600's and a beefy battery to feed them.

Clods can be make to go fast. Sure they are not as easy as an E-maxx but you can do it.
One pack works fine and makes great power(over 50 mph on just 12 cells). With the clod you can't use huge motors because they will hit the four link bars. So the small motors don't pull huge amps.
If you want speed from a clod you need to use adj. motor mounts and grind out the gear case for pinion room. With a ground out case you can use a 22 tooth pinion which really helps speed.
