Transponder troubles - 10.14.2006, 08:56 AM

Ive started racing my G2R at an indoor track near me. The only problem is I cannot get their transponders to work on my truck.
I have fitted it in various places on the shell but with no success
The Geezer in race control recons that its because my truck gives off too much interference  I'm not sure I believe that myself, but even so there must be a real reason.
where do you guys that race fit yours, any help would be greatly received :027:

Maybe you need to loose the nuclear reactor?

Have you considered an AMB personal transponder?

Try to mount it on the body, inside. Most guys have it on the windshield inside. Works just fine.

I actually had interferance issues with my nitro truck once when I had it mounted on the inside of the body above the RX...Try to keep it as far away from the RX and UBEC as possible.

cheers guys, I have tried a few places windsheild, bonnet (hood) and along the side of the truck. Infact the shell is starting to look like a tea bag.
you may be onto something squee, as all the locations Ive tried are up front near the raidio box and ubec. I will try the rear of the shell next week and see if it works any better.
Failing that I could tie it on a peice of string and tow it behind me :032:

I actually lost a damn race because of the transponder not counting all my laps...I know (as well as the guy that "won") that I won in actuality because he flamed out and I passed him...Either way, we both bumped up to the A-main, so its all good...Just be sure it's counting ALL of your laps...

At that point, the nuclear reactor can turn out handy
