Gearmesh is best checked with the covers off.. :p

I assume you mean the Revos that use the Emaxx tranny? I ran my V1 Revo without the cover for quite a while and never had a chewed up spur due to debris.
The stock Revo tranny doesn't have a gear cover option. Seems to work OK.

I would be more concerned with electrical wires get snagged by the gears than debris damage.
Just don't stick your fingers down there when you're runnnig your truck :027:

I dont have mine on 'cause it doesnt fit. Pinion Hits and the RRP slipper set up hits.
