Mikes prices are very reasonable. Its different depending on the part so your better off talking to him. But trust me its not bad at all for a custom part.

Yes I'm keeping the mechanical break unless I get rid of the 2 speed all together. With the 2 speed transmission, the electronic brake will not work.

No the boxes are constructed from sticks of CF angle and epoxied at the corners to create the boxes. In each one I used 1 piece of 2x2x.062, 3 pieces of 1x1x.062 and 4 pieces of .5x.5x.030 for corner braces. If you look at the pictures you can see the corner braces.
All of the CF is from graphiteelegance.com before they closed down for ''vacation''. (I did talk to them though and they said the store should reopen around the end of the month.) They have really great prices on CF. They say it not cosmetic CF, but it looks fine to me, just not as shinny (or expensive) as dragonplate.

Yea, it will probably com in a little over my first estimate.:018: The little extras like the aluminum hinge pin blocks and the LST shocks all add up QUICKLY. I also wasn't planning the mechanical brake back then either. It still shouldn't be bad though. Still lighter than my e-revo anyway.

I think that this motor will be perfect. It should be very fast with this setup. My estimates for speed on the gearing I think I will need and 5s is 40-45 on the center diff and 60+on the 2 speed. and at 10lbs or so this should be more than enough motor to make it get up and go. There aren't a million aftermarket components available for the drive train like the Maxx or Revo. so I gotta keep in mind the limitations of the stock components. The stock stuff seem pretty tough, its all metal w/hefty dogbones and CVDs, and the Diffs look pretty tough as well but its still just stock so more motor might just mean more problems.

OK its done. Well...... Almost. Only thing left is finishing the modified clutch bell for the 2 speed tranny. I should have that done this week though. But I cant wait to test it out so I'm gonna taake it out tomorrow and give it a run on just a single speed. According to my calculations, should be running mid 40's in single speed. Over 60 when 2 speed is finished.

Anyway... Here is the finished product.
