Great Assembly VS Hardcore Racing - 10.30.2006, 05:03 AM

How good is the Hardcore Racing 2mm front skid plate in comparison to the GA 2mm front skid plate?

Both are titanium and both look very similar, but the GA has two holes for extracting the hing pins from the bulkhead and HCR does not. It is not really important for me, actually.

All I'm concerned about is the durability of these two skids.

I believe Squee has some feedback regarding the Hardcore parts.
I should wait for him until he graces my thread with his lovely eyes.:005:

I'll disregard the eyes thing...for now.

I have some HCR purple aluminum a-arms for my Revo and some titanium rocker arms for it as well. It's all top notch stuff. I would choose the HCR out of the two, but my personal choice would be Gorilamaxx skids.

I have 3mm GA Ti skids. They fit perfectly and they are freakin' indestructable! A bit heavy even for Ti , but indestructable. The 2mm should be just right.

BTW, I've have several items made by hardcore. All have been top quality and fit perfectly.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I wanted to keep the cost of Phase.2 as low as possible, but now I think that I have to go all out and just get myself the VBS towerless which includes an incredible front skid. The rear skid cant be used unless I get the monoblock chassis extender, but Mike said he can modify the gorillamaxx extender in order to make the rear VBS fit the gorilla extender.

I'll post the parts I'll be buying for Phase.2, so you can have an idea of the final truck.
