well right now im running either some 7 cell 1500mah packs i put together, or 6 cell 3000mah for longer run times. i know they arent the best, but im kinda holding off on dumping loot into batts untill i know what kind of motor im going to run.
its been a struggle... do i buy batts first or a motor? if i go brushless lipos could happen i suppose.. or not...
i have no idea!!!
so thats why im here, im hoping the good people of this site can point me in the right direction.:027:
the way my brushless set up was in my mini lst, i expect alot from a system that costs twice as much... ya know what i mean? if i cant get that then i might as well cheap out and get the dual 700 set up... its like $xx(cheap) for everything. but its still kinda slow, not as bad as it is now tho! then i would buy the most battery i could get for the application.
is that logical?

what advise do you have for me? would the brushless set up dominate the dual 700s?
how about packs, will 14 cells do the trick? or will i need lipoly?

14 cells is only 1400 watts, sound to little for what your expecting.

Just remember.... The core of any good brushless system is batteries that are capable of supplying the power needed. Poor batteries will yeild less than ideal results. Once you choose your motor, buying at least one set of proper batteries should be on your list of must haves.

Decent batteries would be GP3300's or IB3800. (best bang for the $ IMO) Cell count for the packs will depend on your motor choice. Obviuosly Lipo is better, but not necessary. there is alot of other expense assosciated with lipo besides just the packs. You will need a decent lipo charger and cell balancer to go with those packs. Id budget at least $150 minimum for those items alone.

And Yes... A decent brushless system will dominate those dual 700's.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
