these and these these come in many different colors and fit for the 540-550 motor size these will work on smooth cans only. hope i helped

i especially like the units because if you have a smooth can you can bring the temps down a lot plus it looks factory made. But yeah the 3racing i was actually looking for the 3racing minit parts and i ran into them

no but i was going to put either 3racing or integy fan/heatsink on my 7xl for cooler running plus with these setups i dont have to debat how and where to mount a fan on the motor. Plus on some of the fan/heatsink units have 3pin conectors which allow for a direct plug in to the rx. SORRY NO PICS

How much wil heat sink with fan help?
I have problem with the esc cut's of bacause of the motor temp.
I hav fund a way to use tow heatsinks from 540, so my plan whas tow 540 heat sinks with fan. Wil this help much or just a bit?

Also your esc isn't getting hot and thermalling because your motor is hot.It usually gets that way because you are overgeared

do you think i use the wrong gearing? i use 51/16 an 4s lipo
I the gearing the reason its getting to hot? If change to an xl with the same gearing will this help?

I think you are geared HIGH for an L motor, but that gearing woulg be just about perfect for an XL sized motor...

I think 13-14 tooth pinion would be good. A 14t pinion would give you about 40mph... (@ 3.7v/cell)

my 8l has always run hot this is just the nature of the motor right, is a fan the only way to keep it cool, i run a 72/16, the motor is a hacker for the e-maxx and has cooling fins on it, i cooked the hacker speedo it had come with now i just in stalled a new version 9920 and just dont want to cook that either, another motor perhaps 8xl

An 8L is too small of a motor for a emaxx, a 7xl on 12 cells is good, a 8xl on 14 cells is also good. Ditch the 8L imo.
