Thats an old Alec & Lane trailing arm set up. they were impressive in their day. It was created because of Losi's 5 link suspension. yeah... I said J&L... meant A&L :D

I still have some old losi 5 links around from the one I had. That was a pretty cool car.

I guess I'm still a newbie - the earliest "new" R/C I remember is the Revo.
