I think your definition of insanity might differ from mine. :) From a quick run of the numbers, you probably have a solid 36 - 38 mph machine there. Quick, yes, but not what I'd consider insane. For that, you have to be pushing 50 - 60 mph. My 10L is running (my guess) right at 40 mph. I need to shoot it with the radar gun.

Personally, I think you're a bit undergeared. Slap a 14T pinion on there and see how that feels. You should be close to 45 mph then. Borderline insanity!

I was mainly speaking too the use of a less "hot" motor than the 7xl and that I am using a 9xl successfully, but let me clarify, it's acceleration is insane. It's top speed is very respectable. I wanted lower gearing because my batts are 2300mah. I am getting a 14t pinion though. 50-60 is almost too much speed to be useful. I am very happy with this setup.

Ah yes. I can definitely see how your acceleration would be off the chart! :027: I think you'll be pleased with the 14T.
