mamba 25 with a Wraith 7K motor. or a mamba 25 with a 6800 competition motor.

Check b-p-p.com, he has got a movie of a 1/18th LST with the wraith 7K motor

That 7k motor will get hot in a hurry on 3s. 70,000+ rpm is a little much IMO. The Hyperion YC22 5K on 3s is a handfull and more suited to the 3s you stated you were looking to run it with.

7k will be faster for speed runs, but running it for more than a couple minutes at a time its gonna get smokin hot. My 5K gets pretty dang hot in a few minutes on 3s.

Those fluid filled diff are the best thing that ever happened to the MLST, but the note that come with them in the package from Losi says they are ''not for use with motors over 5000kv and voltage over 7.4V'' Not that anyone will listen to that, but they are covering their butts this time after the beating they took from the crappy stock diffs.

Mamba 25 or the Quark 33 pro-car. Either are a fine choice for the ESC.
