Squee & glass doctor thank's for the repliy. If i stick with the 7xl i really could'nt go to a 10t pinion because i would loose to much speed. Why would a 8XL be better in your opinion ?. I do plan on using the fan in my next testing session.

The 8XL will pull less amps. Simply as that. So the ESC will heat up less. It's like running a 10L instead of a 9L. Also, it will allow you to gear up as well.

The 10XL has got a 1502 kv range.

I personally loved the power of the 7XL in your Mugen, (and the temperature/ runtime)

So the 7XL would be an okay choice IMO.. isn't it an option to get a 9920?

Sounds like you got more run time without the fan this time.
The 8xl may help. What about a 9xl? I may be able to help you in that area.

Peace!

Same Problem - 03.08.2007, 06:30 PM

I just got back from the track. My buggy still thermals even with my warrior.I was running the same gearing 11/51. So after talking with mike on the phone im either going to buy a 8XL or a LMT 1940 8T to run in my buggy. Mike does'nt have the 1940 8T in stock yet so i'll have to wait . If someone had a LMT 1940 8T in excellent condition plus 20 or 30 bucks i would strongley consider trading my EVO for it.

I have a buyer for my MM & 7XL, so i probably wont have to give up my EVO for a motor. But im thinking of selling it so I'm working on pics.
