TP to Hyperion balance cable - 02.22.2007, 03:32 AM

I just got a thunder power 1010C charger, so I was going to go back to using my TP205V balancer. The problem is that most of my battery packs have hyperion style taps.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get an adapter that will allow me to balance a battery with hyperion style taps using a Thunderpower balancer?

Thanks.

Maxamps could probably make you one :005:.

I searched a few places, and was unable to locate an adapter.

I wish they'd standardize that stuff.I bought the TP 10 cell balancer first off without thinking much about compatability. All those balancer taps should be the same right ??? Well now I have a Astro flight Blinky for the packs that are anything but TP packs and the TP balancer for those that are.

You could make your own adapter but good luck finding the right connectors :007:

I agree, its quite rediculous they cant use the same adapters. At least we only have a Dean's connector, and not a Toms's, Jim's. and Lil Bobby's to choose from. :027:

Don't forget the astro flight zero loss connectors and sermos/anderson powerpoles...I see those in use by others frequently mostly in airplanes but Deans are the most popular I think at least here in electric car/truck/buggy/truggy land:028:

And the micro hand warmers aka "Tamiya Plugs" that some manufacturers still insist on wasting time and money on installing. :019: :019: :019:

If anyone is interested, Cheapbatterypacks.com has adapters to go from a Hyperion/Polyquest battery tap to a TP balancer or to go from a TP battery tap to a Hyperion/Polyquest balancer. I ultimately just pulled the individual plugs from the balancer side of my Hyperion balancing harness, put some very small shrink around the plugs and directly plugged them onto the pins of the TP balancer. I do have the proper adapter coming in though.

I had the same problem. How do I balance my Thunder Power packs with my LBA10 balancer? I emailed Austin at MaxAmps and he not only built it for me but did not even charge me for it.
