I use the original Garmin eTrex (yellow one). Picked it up locally for $75 brand new a couple years ago. It's waterproof too :).

That's the same one I use too. For the price, it's hard to beat.

same unit as mine. I got mine for $50 + about a million Marlboro miles lol.
got a second one as well, and sold it to a friend for $75, so only cost me $25 in the end (limit was 2 per customer)

on my 1/8 onroad, I've used it three times doing speed runs, and all three top speeds were within 5mph of eachother. I've also had it eject at about 40mph, in my friend's(RiverRat's) Evader ST, and there wasn't a scratch on it. I'd say if you can find a wristband one, that'd work best, but like everyone's said, all of garmins are good. with my experience, I think it's just as accurate as a speed gun, and in most cases, more accurate.

yep yep mine is waterproof also! just payed 125 more! haha!

o well i think it will really come in handy!
