Looks like titanium to me.that doesn't mean a lot though in itself,some Ti alloys are rather soft.they look awesome actually.

If the idlers start to wear you can always put a steel idler with the Ti output gear,it's OK for the output gear to be a little less hard than the idler.Certainly looking at that set of ultramaxxed with the steel idlers would support that.


The genIII idlers were a high strength brass,presumably the hardness was somewhere between that of the input and output gears.They're weakly attracted to a magnet.
