No way man. I'm getting lucky. I'm like anybody else out there who's just looking for that one hot pick. I only have one problem, something deep inside my head is telling me the market will give some gains back (Like a W), but I hope to be 100% wrong.

Some guy in rcgroups said the A123 IPO will be out later this week. I will be watching for it.

A123, I've been waiting for that too. I'll have to pick some up regardless. :)

I'm wondering about a pullback too, but I think we are mostly good thru this month. Really everyone's felt a bit edgy since april since things have moved up from march lows. Couple dips, but no big pull back yet surprisingly.
I don't see a huge reason so far as all the data has generally been positive. Felt more bullish than I have all year (which may be a bad sign, idk lol.) I think there are some pushes to show some good gains for the Q and year end. We'll see what Oct and Nov brings. I don't see any reason we should have any massive dips unless secondary effects of the recession are unleashed (ie high inflation, commercial real estate, % interest rate hikes, big fall in $, end of Fed money, other worries out there.) I personally don't see anything coming anytime soon, but I really know nothing when it comes to these things (prolly the safest assumption imo.) I think Jan-Feb is going to go in the doldrums perhaps. After year end, but waiting for further direction on the new year. Hopefully we will just see slow and steady gains on out, but that's awfully optimistic and really you've got to be ready for anything. Who knows what news will come.

By quite a bit of good fortune and timing, my retirement accts and investment accts will have done pretty well this year. I'd really like to hold & build on them. In a way, the Great Recession has been a once in a lifetime opportunity for the fortunate, but I'm sure there plenty of surprises ahead.

It seems that the A123 IPO will have a price between $10-11.50 and it might be a hot stock.

Slow and steady growth will be good. There seems to be news of companies that will be BK sometime in the near future and that will play a big part of any big dips and that might cause a little panic which can become a big panic specially after what we saw. Good thing about the stock market is that you can bet on stocks when it goes down .

Man, I was happy at 1% gain, but then it went red. The big winner today was scarletboa. Use the buying power scarletboa.

So A123 stock is at $13.50 and I have no buying power at all. I'm also frustrated that I was planning on buying more BAYN at a very good price, but decided to sell the few shares I had and now look at it, it's above $3+. It could've been a good day if I had invested a few million in it at bellow the $2+ I paid for it. I hope the market comes back to green.

Edit: Goodness...Look at A123 (AONE) go. From $13.50 to $18.80+ and seems to be going higher lol. I guess people really like A123 lol. Too bad they only have 6 batteries so far and only 3 in production. I guess they forgot to add in one of the SEC Files that they own Enerland.

Mine is getting hit pretty bad today too, bit on a downcycle, but no worries. No buying power at all tho. :(

AONE is rocking. I'll look at getting it once the excitement slows down.

Some profit taking I guess. I must have missed something yesterday as I went down almost 2000%. By the time I get some buying power again, AONE will be at a reasonable level I guess.

Haven't been looking at the game lately (until my picks swing back up to get buying power, there's no point...)

but, I saw AONE is on a bit of a tear today, last was ~$21.5 last time I saw. Wonder what it will do after the Q3 is over. Their earnings can't be too good, they are still losing $, and there should be some charges w. the IPO I would think. It was @ 18.5 yesterday, but I wonder how it will do over Oct. On the upside they raised over $400M on the IPO, so there should be some good things down the road.

I'm free falling .

A123 has to come out with new and better products. I think they still have a law suit pending against them. Do you think Enerland is making them a few bucks? I haven't heard anything about it and they didn't even mention Enerland in their SEC Files. I think the investors going with it are lacking a lot of information and just going with the trend. We will see a Green Tech bubble bursting in a few years from now.

Man, AONE is still off to the races, over $24 now....I still it has to come down, I hope. :)

Haven't looked at things in a couple days and things have gotten a bit ugly. Whole market is pulling things down. I hope this doesn't continue for the month. Jul-Sept was awesome, I just hope we don't give up all/much of those gains

I'm surprised, but investors might think it's good for them.

Could this be the dip that everyone's been talking about? I'm getting pounded and that little glitch with the prices just made it awful . I'll hold a bit to see what new year will bring. One lucky member got in AONE and is doing good with it.

Nice, I wanted to get some on Tues when it dropped to low 18s, but didn't have any buying power. I almost bought some w/ some real money then too, but decided I'm going to hang out in cash for a while (plus IDK if its the best deal out there, but that doesn't always matter.) I almost bought some AEZ and BIOF then too, but held off and they both rebounded this week.
Not sure where things are headed and had some good gains over the summer, but I don't want to see them evaporate while the market figures out the next direction. Think I'll wait for some deals to come along.

I think my portfolio is going to be crappy for the next few weeks. Maybe by the end of the month things will get moving.
