Anyway, the esc held up but the battery gets too warm. So u have to make sure the batteries are up to it. By all indication, the MMM should be the same or better in terms of performance so it should work happily. I have moved to a 9XL to keep battery temps down.

In addition, I'm in the tropics where ambient temperature & humidity are all off the scale. So, if you're running in cooler climate, that's even better.

PS : Mike is still keeping silent on my request for pre-order
i am doing a revo conversion

AFAIK the MMM should be 6s capable.

Hmm, from what I can gather novak relicensed the feuiego 8XL Wanderer from neu who originally had the lmt guys design it and a small chinese company named mega produced them in a limited volume to be sold as hacker's low line motors. However this did not pan out. I have a feeling that Kontronik had something to do with it, as thier budget plettenberg line did not need any more competition. Feel free to move the mfg names around until that last few sentences makes sense.

BTW it sounds mexican to me, and lord knows I can't speak latin so my chances of reading the specs are unlikely, unless I can find a canadian, those guys are usefull. If all else fails I can always consult an irish to english dictionary, but that is always a fight.

Nice lincpimp :)

Hey joeling, how many mah and c-rating were the lipos that got hot with the 8xl?

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I'm using a 2S & 3S 4000mah Maxamps lipo (20C) in series for 5S. With a 8XL, I think I'm seeing 89A bursts under hard acceleration. Battery temps after 15 - 20 minutes was around 45 deg C + to nearly 50 deg C. These data has to be read in conjunction with ambient temperatures of around 33 to 35 deg C.

Maxmaps are relatively small & they fit into the buggy.

Joe Ling

thanks joeling, I was curious as I'm going to build a hyper7 with 6S the MMM and a 9xl, so about the same amp draw. I have had some issues with my max amps lipos and will go with a better brand for my next ride, I think their 20C rating is a little inflated next to how they react to a heavy load. I think I'll either go with a 5000mah/20C or a 4000mah/25C setup, hopefully the increase in voltage will offset the amp needs.

Just to let you know the MM and the MMM will be using the same firmware v1.17 so if you are only using 3s and don't need to pull 110+ amps then the MM will work just as well on your 6 pole motor as the MMM because the firmware is not different.

ETA on a forum is 14th but doesn't really mean nothing as there is nothing officially mentioned on their website
