Man, that's a brick!!!!! You can mount it that way using a plastic battery tray to keep it from sliding or just make sure it's snug.

Reminded me of this:

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)

Well, you guys warned me. I have not put a flat spot on my Neu's shaft...yet. I have been bashing for months with a tight grub screw and loctite until today. One minute into a bash with an extra 3.7 volts and I lost the pinion. Luckly no damage to the spur.

I talked my wife into giving the Dremel (one of my Christmas presents) early. I'll be grinding.

Here is Mike's custom battery tray. I thought with the way I drive my battery needed a little more protection:

Not bad. It is right at the spur, which puts it just slightly behind the center of the truck. A wheelie bar is going to be needed.

Latest upgrade -- Strobe Braces and Knuckle Heads - 02.15.2009, 08:31 PM

My latest upgrades Strobe Braces and UE Knuckle Head shock towers. I had to change out the FLM shock towers to the UE because the UE were 3 mm thinner. It was either that or shave the Strobe brace like suicideneil did. I also had to shave the top of my FLM hybrid bulk because the UE tower has an oblique bottom instead of a square one like the FLM.

Clearence issues:

Rear:

Front:

That looks alright, no butchery visable unlike my setup (I plan to keep my truck till Im grey and old, its my pension plan so I figure the rarity value will outway the modifications hopefully ).

Do like the way knuckleheads look compared to the FLMs too

Completed build it think NOT ! You previously mentioned you may goto 8 Super Shocks. If you want another 4 to complete the set and a new unopened spring set and 3 kyosho boots, maybe we can work out a deal and get some to the Golden goose. If not, perhaps Jerry or Lito has a home for them ? Mark gets 1st declination, but im not going to use them. I have finally gotten my 8 Losi 8T rear shocks working perfect on my Gmaxx and wont be needing these.

NOT a sales thread LOL, Just an offering so dont black ball me Brian

Neil, where are the pictures of this alleged butchery? I've looked and can't find much.

Oh, yeah I found it. It doesn't look bad at all.
