At first glance, this doesnt look like much of a deal, but then compare it to this: clicky
4 x $44.87 = $179.48 vs $260 for 6s2p. Granted, you have to do some extra work yourself, and shippig costs havent been taken into account, but all the same...
The cells that are not a123 do not have the a123 burn in them, they are just plain looking cells. I do not know how much back stock has a123 cells in them, but it was an a123 rep that told me about dewalt switching brands. After all the drills don't need 40 amps all of the time.
Ahh, fair enough. That does royally suck though- any idea if the part number for the battery pack has changed, or if there's a clue on the sepc label etc? I'd hate to pay $12 for a cell only worth about $8 :(
I am in the process of completing a purchase of dewalt packs.. Now I am really concerned. I hope that dewalt changes the pack part number to indicate the difference.
