Will I need to lock the clutch or get a faster engaging one?

I did a test with a 3S LiPo and it took everything to get it to engage...plus no speed.

Will probably lock in 2nd...but not sure of the clutchbell deal.
Quick note on the clutch here. Depending on the motor, 3s may be under the RPM range for the clutch to fully engage properly. Make sure you are in the neighborhood of 30K total RPM runout (voltage * kv) or faster and you should have no issues.

Sorry guys....

Here is the info

Monster Maxx
Feigeo 10xl
Stock Clutch

I just used the 3S to bench test...

My BL Savage was a fixed pinion so I didn't have the problem.

Do I want a faster clutch or should the stock one work after I get some juice to it?

I was leaning towards a 4s LiPo just because of the 5s being sooo big.

I will post pics later on...

Thanks
John
