Nimh cells are good for about 35 amps continuous, so 14 GP3300 cells wouldnt be much good with high end BL setup; use with a hvmaxx, and not much else.

TRC lipos are great value for money, but still lagging behind the likes of Zippy and the Enerland based cells.

but would it harm my esc or motor if i do run those gp 7 cells? i know it would be slow and my batteries will get hot, but i dont care about the batteries. its just a spare pack to carry around with me to use, if i actaully want to play longer while my lipos charge up again.

Im theory, it wont hurt the esc, but in an other theory, the ripple currents generated by the nimhs (due to limited output power) may kill the esc. I personally dont know what to say for the best- if you desire to use anything more powerful than a novak motor, try to avoid nimhs like the plaque. They really do suck in comparision to even mid-range lipos...

ok got it. its best for me to not use them then. its not worth it. although when i first recieved my v1 mmm, i did use those 7 cells and even 6 cells quite a few times with no problems at all.
