Yes it is geared lower in first and higher in third

You'd need a receiver pack, glow plug igniter, glow plugs, and a throttle servo, as well as a refueling bottle.
If you can bring up the money, the SSK4,6 is great too! stronger motor, better tires, and some valuable hopups come with the kit already.. (yeah, it's a kit for sure)
true, but i tell ya! the conversiona re a pain, even mine was. :( i still cant find out how ot bend my rollbar sytle thing, i screwed that up along with my esc mount.
half a dozen one, 6 of another. Some days I like running Nitro, some days electric. I don't find tuning that hard, so maybe that's why I have fun with it...
Also, only one receiver pack to charge, and once that's charged you can run for hours at a time, as long as you have fuel. Sometimes it's fun to keep running and not worry about having extra expensive packs, and not having to worry about cooling electronics and motors.
Personally it's my favourite rc ever but then i'm biased. Also mine are along way from stock. The LST2 is out now and is a better package out of the box. They included some necessary upgrades like alu diff cases, high perf pads, secondary gear cover etc.It has new arms and hubs and new 8mm buggy style axles.I think 3 of us said to get the LST2 already in this thread.
Really the best thing about the design is the most overlooked which is the layout.By running a transverse motor and transmission the weight is down the centre for excellent balance and low polar moment of inertia. Also mounting a motor transverse(unlike every other truck out there)gives zero torque roll(equal and opposite forces). This is why in touring cars the modifides run belts(transverse Motor) and stock run shafts(less drag). This is also why i'm using a transverse layout(motor, gearbox and lipo packs)in my BL LSTs (for the weight close to the centre line and zero torque roll.)
It is a great truck, comes with a good receiver/transmitter/steeringservo's tough drivetrain, though you need to get 2 aluminium diffhousings (the ones that house the entire diff) this is a rather cheap hopup though)
By the looks of the last sentence in Gustav's post - there's one there.....also mine - and another one done using the emaxx tranny on a losi forum (forget name - 'schmacher' (or similar) was the user i think - one of my inspirations -lol-)
just remembered another one on this forum with 7xl i thought?...
