6s 2170 fp 25c lipos

Runs a bit warm, close to 160f on the motor. I may go up to a 15t and see if that helps. The quark stays cool, but one of them poofed so I may swap to the MMM. And it will look cleaner without the ccbec and related wiring.
Linc

what kind of run time were you getting with the 6s 2170 packs and did you have any problems with lack of amperage with the setup? I am planning on setting up a truggy with a leftover Neu 1515/2.5d with a 6s 3700 25c pack and have also thought of the 6s 2500 packs Mike sells.....trying to get an idea on things

Crt.5
50mm/2200 on 4S 2100 packs
14/46 on M2Ks, upto 18/46 w/ 1/10 buggy tires.
Faster than jesus, and can't keep wheels down. 48 mph or so just on the mashers.
Temps? Always under 120. Stopped checking a while ago.

HPI E-Savage (Trophy Truck Conversion)
Medusa MR-036-060-3100V2-5
1/8 Buggy Wheels/Tires
65t spur / 20t pinion (Mod .8)
2 in series 2S LiPo 5000 mAh 25C (14.8 V)
Mamba Max, 12V Fan, CC BEC
RC-Monster Heatsink/Clamp

With above setup Estimated 38 MPH. ESC runs 120F and Motor runs about 130F in sunny 60F degree ambient temps. Solid 30 minutes of bashing with little to no stopping.

With 5.5 inch Monster Truck tires (estimate 45 MPH) motor continues to run at about 130F but MM ESC temps escalated to 170 by end of the run. Run time in the 20-25 min range for bashing.

E-revo
36-60-2000 Medusa heat sink.
MMM
Gearing varies as to what voltage and tires.Currently 20/65 with original Savage tires,on 4s 5200.Great for the rough stuff, but tires limit it to around 38.24/54 with Dirt bonz on 4000 6s,gets 60 mph.
Hottest it's ever been is 165.But I was being stupid running 4s to 50 mph,in the middle of summer, with no heat sink.
After running this motor for about 8 mos,I have to say it's great.I wish I could find an excuse to get the 70-2300,but so far I just can't justify it.

Losi 8ight-B
36-70mm 1600kv v2 w/heatsink
16/45, 40/13 internals
4s 5000 30c Flightmax (wish I bought two)
150-155 degrees on the motor, battery and ESC luke warm, perfect mix of speed and control on the track.
37.41 mph.

Not a top speed run buggy, but I don't do speed runs, track use only.

Wow Guys! What a way to put those Medusa Motors to work. LOL

If you haven't added your Medusa setup to this thread, would you please post it here for all of us to see?

Thanks

My daughter's crt.5

1. mm esc
2. Medusa 50 series 3300kv 5mm shaft
3. TrueRc hard case 2s li-po 5000mah
4. Futaba 125 oz servo
5. Pro line 2.2 Gladiator tires
6. Slingshot white rums/dyed black

ESC settings:

1. timing 2 deg.
2. med start power
3. 30% punch control
4. 60% brakes
5. 3.2 v/c li-po cut off

stock spur..44 I think ....16 pinion

Temps have greatly depended on her driving and where we drive. Sunday she kept thermaling the esc...we were in beach sand which I am sure was 80% of the issue. I have since tweaked the esc a bit...so we shall see.

All in all the esc /motor combo is smooth and plenty for her

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S
