I run receivers on top of my servos in two vehicles without interference, but it's always a possibility. Best thing to do is try it and see if it works.
One thing to consider is; make sure the body will still fit over the receiver if you mount it on the servo.

One option is to get the Schulze U-Force-75 controller or mount the esc on the upper deck. As Mike told a while ago: Mounting a esc needs some creativity.:)

The ideal for a competitive racing buggy is to keep everything as low as possible, but it's quite often necessary to get creative :)

creativeness is key when mounting electronics and i have seen some pretty creative ways and ones that are just plain weird

ive looked at it and i dont think it will fit on the servo with the bodys on so looks like on the top deck im not even sure if my ESC will fit the car at all without me taking a file to the heat sink :S
