The video in the first post isn't working for me.
Just watched the Youtube video. Nice running there!!! Seems strong as hell! I'm assuming the body flew off at 1 point?
Look at the way those tires balloon and wobbly!

Could be photobucket acting up again, I haven't moved it or anything.
Thanks! That Medusa is a beast of a motor but I am thinking of replacing it with something else, that Castle 1717 motor would be perfect if it ever comes out. The body actually broke off, the pins broke through what was left of the body mounts, and now the body mounts are almost totally worn through I blew off a pretty good-sized chunk of tire at one point in that video, just couldn't handle the power anymore. I ran it again at my LHS on 6s and the remains of that tire basically exploded under the power.

Jesus, you damn near blew out your right front tire with that first little stunt! Makes me wonder if my tires will hold together on 6S on "Frostbyte"

The right-front is the one that blew out later in the vid. I caught it on tape but it was hard to see and I think the photobucket video is the only one that has it (gotta watch kinda carefully, it blew during a wheelie going towards the camera). I'm very impressed with the stock Losi tires though, I abused the crap out of those things for about a year before they finally blew out, I was so impressed that I bought some LST XXL wheels and tires to replace them.
Your tires are newer so they will hold up longer, but that thing is going to have some BRUTAL power on 6s and will significantly shorten the lifespan of your tires.

The sun from the last 2 days melted most of the snow down here, but it's been raining all day. Bashing season is pretty much over for us, unless we pick up brushless snowmobiles \m/

When its too cold to turn the steering wheel, i'll call it quits. Of course, it will be a cold day in hell if the Bobcats can beat the Griz

I run all winter as well, but usually just my Rustler because I know the MM can handle some snow. Cold day in hell indeed, at least one University in this state focuses on academics rather than sports

Uh ohh, hopefully they aren't discontinuing it. It can't come close to the thrill of my Baja, but it is definitely one of my favorite RCs. It really is a great truck, I hope they keep making them and they're just re-designing it right now.

i should have a working mamba monster today. im now running the same motor as u. I got a steal of a deal on it, 40bucks shipped on ebay about 2months ago. im waiting for the 1717 as well or a good deal on a 1521 1y whatever comes first. i have also had issues blowing front tires, the side walls just give way, at least i know im good at glueing them and that dynamite ca glue is sweet stuff. after ripping 3 tires i decided to try wrapping some spiderwire 20lb fishing line around the front tires in about 4 places on both of them. they even balloon between the string but not nearly as bad and with all 4 done that way i can actually top it out with the medusa and a 14t pinion, i normally just run an 11t though as it keeps things cooler. i can sure say it is amazing to see that thing top out i dont know how fast it is but i can tell u its crazy if i crashed at those speeds there would not be much left. but i had to see what it could do

What kind of speeds are you getting on the 14T? I was running a 16T (smallest I had) in the video, including tire ballooning that's geared for about 90 MPH on 6s I ran it a fair bit like that and it ran just fine as long as I didn't run much longer than ~10 minutes, then as soon as I went down to a 14T and 4s I turned the ESC on and it started blowing smoke.

I've been considering picking up a Muggy roller - they seem to be dirt cheap right now. And yes, they are no longer listed on the losi site - you have to go in through the product support page to get to the page for the muggy now.
Maybe the Ten T will have a bigger brother....
Where do you find most of your Muggy parts, etc at? Anyone make any aftermarket chassis for it? I'm kinda curious how close a fit the 8T chassis parts might be?
I hear its gonna be a VERY cold winter in Missoula....!!!
Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
