You would need 6831 li-ion packs to do that like the Tesla car....

That video inspired me to put dual 750's in the cruisin tunes barbie jeep on 24V. My daughter loves it. I didnt even realize it was possible to mod them till I saw that. Making it radio control is next on my to do list of projects as she started to outgrow it and now likes to ride her bike. I just need to find a strong enough servo to turn that steering wheel. I think the neighbors will get a kick out of watching a headless barbie jeep driving itself up and down our street.

Put a small mannequin in there and go play in traffic. That would freak a few people out! (this is not a good idea, just a joke)

You could put 2 strong 1/5 scale servo's in. They can be had for cheap while yielding large power.

Ya I think I'm going to try that. I havent ever had any experience with the 1/5 servos, but that steering wheel is pretty tough to turn.

Get rid of the steering wheel. Leave it there but not connected....

The barbie jeep I'm modding has standard mounting holes for a 550 motor and uses a 5mm 19 tooth 32 pitch pinion on the drivetrain. I've always thought about about putting dual 2200's in there, but just cant justify spending that much money on another project like this. Still would be a site to see on 6S though. This would land it somewhere in the 15 to 20 mph range with plenty of torque to spare.
Doh, I think I'm missing the point of this thread.
