You can only race on a track!
Pegasus is the nearest one I believe (Other than the one my friend built in his backyard, raced a slash there, good lord I was awful. Hitting everybody, the trees, etc!). And Pegasus is like 2 hours away, one way!

For an on road track all you need is some asphalt, something to mark corners, a little cheap grape soda to spray in the turns for traction and a bud or two to run with! That's how our local club got started. Now there are enough members that we have a permanent track and a AMB lap counter, but it all started as a bunch of parking lot crashers. It's all up to you and your level of interest!=)

On road cars = Nascar = boring as all hell.
