The way i see it is i pay $250 for the roller with motor and servo, sell my 1515 for $120 or so, sell my mmp for $80, and i wont have much in the muggy. But, ill need a ne esc and batts somewhere along the way, and i could even sell the 1518 for $170 or so and buy the leopard. I think thats a pretty good deal!

I was wondering about using the 20c's just cus i already have some. Illl look at buying a MMM, see if i can find one cheap woth the money from my 1515 and my mmp. Batts are gonna be a killer! I already have 2 40c 2s lipos so ill buy 2 3s 40c lipos.

While we're at the topic of muggy conversions.
Does anyone know a place where I can still get most/all muggy parts as spares?
Because I have one lying here that was given to me, but it had a head on colision so needs a few spares. Especially front bulks, steering parts and such things.
And since I'm planning on making a truck for pulling out of it I want to put my CC1717 in. So I would like to get HD diffs and aluminum diff cases as well.

Many LST2/XXL parts fit the Muggy (bulkheads, arms, knuckles, axles, bumpers, etc.). Not inner bulkhead or steering parts, though. I get almost all of my Muggy parts on eBay.

No problem, but youre going to have to wait a few days. The extra turnbuckles are just for reinforcement for the center diff. Can the ezrun 150a's handle 6s and 4 pole motors? I found one already for $70.

and do any of you guys know if the traxxas blue 17mm hexes will work on the muggy? or do i have to buy some other ones (HPI savage)?

for sure you can run 4- and 6-pole motors with ezrun/xerun. I have a tenshock 6pole run by a ezrun 150a.

No, the traxxas hexes will not fit, they are for 6mm axles, the muggy has 8mm axles.

the Muggy uses more or less the same CVA that I'm using in my ERBE, I used Mugen MBX6 hexes but any 1:8 buggy/truggy/MT ones should work since they're relatively universal.

Find em cheap on eBay. Shouldn't cost you more than $20.

Good luck with that. That's quite high for used equipment. 90 would be a better # for a used 1515, 120-ish for the 1518.

The turnbuckles are actually to help keep the chassis from bending. Its know for having a weak chassis. At some point you'll want to upgrade to the stiffer chassis plate.
The Muggy is a great truck. Look around there are several Muggy build threads (cant remember where mine is!!!)

Ok thanks for all the help guys! I sold my mmp last night and im just waiting for a PM back for the ezrun. The bracing for the CD is just what the guy said, and im not too hard on my stuff so i think i should be fine with the chassis. Do they make any skidplates for the muggy so the chassis doesnt get torn up?

FYI: the bracing is for what JThiessen said - the Muggy chassis is a known weakness. The CD mount needs no extra support. Those turnbuckles will actually place more stress on the CD mount. I've seen others brace the bulkheads like that, but I prefer just to tie the front and rear bulkheads together with a long piece of Al angle and not connect it to the CD mount.
