Certainly these may be knockoffs, might not be the same design. MIne does look a bit different. Package was dualsky.

The UBEC costs a lot more, but it's a completely different design. I don't know how the two compare. I grabbed this one cause it's so small.

Good point about service and supporting the LHS or shops like rcmonster. I am all for that. I buy almost everything (non BL related anyway :) ) from my LHS... never get anything from Tower etc.

But I do order obscure and specialized stuff wherever I can get it... BL stuff here... batteries from the guys who specialize in them like maxamps and promatch.... etc

I use the xushobby ubec. It can handle up to 8S lipo. So with 3S you will be fine. The ubec is very small and lightweight!

Yeah, i remember i advised you using it Jasper.

With the jumper on it delivers 5V and with the jumper off it does 6V. It's a great thing, i bought a few from them when they where 12 bucks, he now changed the price a bit, but his shipping costs from the US to Holland are very fair.
