buggy's and truggy's are also easier to make a motor mount for.
so i'll see wich truggy's are easily avaible at my lhs.
truggy will give me what i want.
easy to convert and plenty performance.
hmmmmm gotta ask lhs if he can get mugen seiki ( most likely, but i'm not entirly sure) mbx5t :004:
with 4s lipo or 12 cells nimh, what kv motor would be good for truggy( either st-r or mbx5t prospec):032:

The Neu 1515 2200Kv would be very nice.

to me it seems like it would be slow on 12 cells nimh or 4s lipo
or can you gear the $*# out of these motors?
if i do a truggy i dont want to be any much slower then the nitro's.
and they can do 50mph.

If I'm not mistaken, most nitro truggies are geared and run in the mid 30's to VERY low 40's max.

Chances are that that will be to hot. The 2200kv would be my choice. With a lower kv setup, you can gear higher...

edit: i'm liking the robitronic mantis, its rtr but i could sell the engine for 160 euro i think, its an axial 4.6cc + the exhaust for 50 euro

That platform sounds much better than the crusher. I don't know how capable they would be to handle the high HP BL setup...

Mike had a 1y on his gmaxx this year monster bash. It was on 4S and supposedly it was running mid 40s... Heard some comment it did run a bit warmish (but not bad at all), but this was a hard running race, but it is a light vehicle so.... ??

If you really want to hit 50, I would suggest going upto 5S lipo w/ the 1Y (or even the 1512 2000 kv (2d?)) and don't overgear. The 2700kv/4S may work, but it will be an amp hog and may get things quite hot. If you ran w/ mechanical brakes that may really help the situation, but still.

I have a 8XL (~1900kv IIRC), and when I run on 5s its an absolute terror. Runs just under 50, but wheelies on demand at almost any speed. A better motor like a Neu on 5S will not suffer from a lack of power. Even if the top ends are close vs the nitro, the TQ and acceleration will be worlds apart.

thanks a bunch for al the info you guys give me but there is more.
what if your motor wants more amps then the speedo and battery's can handle? and about the truggies, wich one do you guys like?
for keeping the price down i like hobao hyper st (not out yet) or robitronic mantis. can sell all nitro stuff that way.
but i really want something like a mugen mbx5t.:D :004:
but are they worth it, what do you think?:032:
edit; after reading trough 5 pages or so about stripped gears from running steel into steel (mac2's crt) i've decided to go with a car that can use a plastic spur, kyosho.
now for the truggies, screw it altogether.
they'll wont be as fast as i want to be.
i'll just get an mp777wc when it comes out to get it over with. along with a plastic spur.
i'll see from there how i'll do it.
