My experience with FD was horrible, he didn't want to tell me anything, and was being very rude to me. That was right before I found RC-Monster. :027:

STAY AWAY from finedesign. My buddy ordered a "kit" from him. What was supposed to be an XLT motor was actually an L can motor that was labeled as an XLT. He likes the high kv motors.
I'd just go with either the Feigao or Wanderer 8XL for 12 cells. If you want fast, you could go for the 7XL, but that's gonna get hot. The 8XL on about a 14/46 gearing is just right for 12 nimh or 4S lipo.

I wish i did stay away from him.
The worst thing was is tha i had already found RC-monster but not its forum and didn't think to see what people thought of his service and liked his conversions so chose to buy from him. BIG MISTAKE.
I bought a XLT1 and a BK 9920 speed control from him
he didn't tell me the Kv of the motor as mentioned before on th eforum and he sent me a BK marine 9920 speed control instead which is useless for cars and is now just gathering dust.
This wasn't necessarily his fault but i had to pay customs about £45.00 ($90) first which just made it even worse.

No i don't think so there is a tick through a box with WK written next to it. but i don't know what it stands for.
But a box with car is above but that doesn't have a tick so i doubt it.
yeah you never stop learning!!

I would contact fd about this; you bought it from him with the intention to use it on a car, not on a boat.

Call him; that's my advice. An email with this type of content is easy to 'forget' i suggested trading it for a car version, not getting a refund.

Yeah, I agree, get it exchanged for a car version.
It seems like FD is out to ruin the sport for ppl... :031:

i won't get my hopes up,
but i don't really need a car controller. (ordered a quark125)and am only making my e-maxx bl.
but i could get it exchanged for a car one because that is better than nothing and if i don't use it, i could always sell it.
i do know what you mean. FD are managing to ruin it whether they mean to or not.
Also, if i were to call him it could be quite hard, due to time difference and cost quite a lot.
