Thanks for the tip. I like your idea. But I do prefer an precise CNC machined battery tray.

I got my hands on three pieces of 200x50x12mm plastic. I will send the plastic to the CNC specialist in a few days.

It could be nylon. I don't know for sure. But I do know it is very strong and light :D

Yeah, and the very nice thing is; if it is Nylon, you can dye it black in normal textile paint.. :)

I would try a small part before making the entire holder black though.
