very nice Serum. Do you have a link to the batteries you'll be using? I think your layout will handle much better than mine. the only reason my packs are on the outsides is because most of the batteries are long and narrow, while it looks like yours will be more "squared".. wanna race? :)

Serum,
that is some very nice work. That is, in fact, my next project. We're getting ready to start an on road club down here and the serpent is what I want.
As for the battery, is that the helicopter pack that you are going to be using. I think it's distributed by eflight. Anyway, very nice. If you don't mind, I may be PMing you with some questions, to take advantage of your experiences with the build.

That looks AWESOME Serum. The CF is a work of art (where did you get it - I want to order some CF, but I'm worried about the plate being completely flat, and that plate looks to be very true).
PS. Vids are required. :D

Thanks for the compliments guys! i will get a movie of her on full speed turns. I found a track for 1/8th onroad cars, lets see if they are willing to let me drive..
The carbon fibre is from graphiteelegance.

Serum,
I appreciate it. Once I get my kit in, I'm sure that a bunch of questions will come to mind. I will, at the least, want to compare notes to see if your solutions are better than mine. :)

Makes me want to do something with the old (RC150?) 1/8 2wd onroad car I have. It has old stale tires on it and I never wanted to waste the $$ for a new set. But I have been thinking about that car for a speed run machine....

They better! Where else should you drive it!? If you can't race with the nitros, I'm sure they will let you "practice" there.
As for racing, keep in mind the nitros do 60 easy, more like 70 to 80 mph. And with their 2-speed, they accelerate quick! The first time I saw some in person, I could not believe my eyes... snapiest and fastest RCs I have ever seen.
Again, nice work, Rene.

True... it's not like those things aren't already stupid fast. These cars may be the hardest things for an electric to match.
Smoking a 1/8 4wd onroad with electric ain't gonna be easy. But I bet it will be fun trying...

Thanks Guys!
i know they accelerate like nothing else in nitro form..
I wasn't expecting to win any prices with it, but i am pretty sure if i take the front belt of, and make it a 2wd it is a good candidate for high top-speed.

side-note; 50-60MPH on her is more than enough for me.. As long as it's controllable power, like a buggy vs an MT, you know..
