MGM Compro 16018 died - 10.23.2007, 01:08 AM

Well, to tell you what happened, it worked great, I ran it about 4 times. I did the Auto Tune, and tuned it on grass one night (maybe the problem). That same day I noticed it would cut out for no reason, then, it would cut out more and more... Now, I can program it fine, via radio or PC but after I'm done, I get BEEP...BEEP over and over.

I tested the following:
1. receiver with another setup, works fine
2. diff motor, both motors are fine
3. Program via PC, and set all values to default, then I had to set to 2 lipo.
4. Program with radio, and set end points
5. I tried 5Lipo setup, 3S and 2S. The 5S will use a y adapter, but that made no difference when I tested with a 2S

At this point, unless someone can think of something, I'm going to send it back.

Now, I can't wait for it to come back so I'm going to buy a second ESC.

Should I just get another MGM 16018 or try the Quark Monster Pro 125B?

I loved the MGM (when it worked) and I would assume this is a fluke. I figure I would want a backup so I can run my truck instead of have it sit and wait for 2 months or so. Then we have the MMM that may come out soon, but again, I don't want to wait. We just met a few guys who have a track and I want to see what my e-maxx can do.

I also did a video showing the problem.

I will buy another ESC, and I kinda want to get another MGM since I know it so well now but I would be ripping if I ran into problems with a second one. Any thoughts may help me decide.
