We can't say one is better than the other. Especially at this point in time, when neither system is even available yet.

But we do know that Tekin is very serious about racing and they have been testing a lot in actual race conditions. So hopefully that will translate into a great product. They claim to use cutting edge FETS in their controllers... but I wouldn't know what's what there anyway, lol.

I do have to say I was extremely impressed by Tekin when I read this thread over on rctech.net:

I have been following that too. I am impressed that tekin is giving advice on what to do to make the esc work better in these extreme conditions. They also seem to be open with there info.

We have been working with Tekin for some time giving them info and data on what we have experienced running the electric 1/8th scales. Tekin Pres has very appreciative of our input and experiences.

Thats good to hear. At least they are getting tips and help from the public. I haven't seen/heard that CC is talking to the public about what they want to see too much. I am just really excited to see someone do a head-to-head comparison of the Tekin RX8 and the Castle Creations MMM.

I am with you on that. Think I will have to try the 1900kv model. looks like this will be an exciting year for 8th scale.

Question: How is the RX8 "leading the industry in ... power handling ability"? Can it really handle more power than the MMM?

Quote from here.

I'm not a CC fanboy. I'm legitimately curious if it handles more power.

Thanks!

IMO, I doubt it. It might be close, but I can't see how an ESC that small could handle even more current than the MMM. The MMM uses some of the best FETs out there with a power board that's crammed with copper and a massive black, cross-cut heatsink with a fan...I don't see how the Tekin unit could handle even more power and be smaller. I might be wrong of course.

Those motors do look very nice indeed, though. I wonder how they stack up against the CC-Neus in terms of efficiency.
