That is the cool thing about my wife

. We both work and I never even see a paycheck. It all goes into our joint account, and She takes care of the money stuff, but my military retirement is my play money. Most of it goes to my younger children (for now), but the part that I receive right now goes towards this hobby. So I have orders going out every month. That is my vice in life. I don't smoke, drink, do drugs or any of that crapp, and I am at home every night, so there is no complaining to do. Our surroundings at home is our little paridise getaway. We have everything we could want or need so I love hanging out at home. I have one of our four bedrooms set up as a hobby shop and when I am in the mood that is where I hang out for the evening or over the weekend. No muss no fuss. Life is good

, but we do most of our material shopping over the internet, because we live overseas. With the size of our family Santa will probably deliver most if not all of my wishes this year. It took a long time to get here, but I have finally arrived. Now hopefully I can keep doing this for many years to come

the 1210i is awesome, and I do have one.. but I'd rather have two 610i networked together to have 500 Watts of charging power... :)

This is good for when you have high voltage/high capacity Lipos and want to charge @ 2C.... 1210i is able to charge 12S @ 4Amps.... or (2) 6S @ 2 Amps Each... 610i could charge a 6S @ 11 Amps... so you could easily charge a 6S1P 5000mAh in a little more than half an hour(that is if your lipo is able to charge @ 2C)

I have both and prefer the 610i. I dont plan on going over 6s to that really doesn't matter to me. I really just prefer the balancer built in and now I can charge my packs at a higher rate if I want.

Hyperion claim that we can charge li-po at 2C rate, but is this safe?????
I'am not certain that i'll risk to charge li-po at 2C

I charge my lipos at 2C with the 1210... seems to be fine.. but maybe shortens the life of it?..

I think Lipos don't have "memory" in there cells. How would it shorten the life? I might be wrong though.

I dunno?.. but I've read somewhere that discharging it at for example... @ 50 Amps life cycle would be shorter than @ 30 Amp discharge.... so I just assume that charging it faster would shorten the life cycle... but then again, I'm not really sure..

OK i just contact FlightPower and they tell me that i can charge my EVO25 at 2C rate without trouble, but this shorten the life of the pack. They tell me to did it only when i must did it. For exemple, in race condition, when i've to re-peak my pack just before the race.

But i'am scare to do this with my brand new $300.00 flightpower pack

I would not take any chances of doing anything that is not suggested by the manufacturer of the battery. The first thing that I would be worried about is damaging the cells and ruining the pack. The second thing is violating the warrenty of rhte product and casuing one to have to bear the expense of replacing the packs due to that action.

Hence I would stick to the rates prescribed by the people who made your batteires for your own good. If your particular manufacturer says go ahead then what do you have to loose. Of course you paid for the product it is your right to do whatever you wish with them. have a great day.

The 610i also charges A123 cells, if you're in to that sort of thing.

Personally, I'm thinking of putting my Triton2 up on the block to get a 610i.

one other thing I like about the 610i over my 1210i is that it displays battery resistance.

Yeah, after looking at the 610i and the 1210i, I've decided on getting the 1210i. The 500w charging is neat, but also dumb. :) You can't charge a 12S brick with it, only 2 6S packs. Since I'm wanting to make the move to higher voltages, the cell count is more important to me.

If anyone wants to move their 1210i, I might be interested.....
