I have a 3s 4000 pack with about 20 cycles on it. It has 12awg wire. The Protek packs to have a tendency to swell up a bit, so I'd always run a pack that's slightly smaller than the battery tray or case itself. I heard from someone (can't remember who) that he thought they were Enerland cells in the Proteks.

Get me back into RC!

Worth every penny. They seem to hold their voltage just as good as maxamps.

Note that serum is talking about the true RC packs.

I use TrueRC and they work great, but I really liked that you could charge Protek lipos with 2C.

Protek Lipos are great for the price and are just as good as any other lipo out their if treated properly. The 5s doesnt come with 16awg wire from what Ive heard. I hear it comes with 12awg wire. But ya I own a Protek 4000mah 2s and its very powerful. I couldnt be happier to have something 2x as powerful as my last 6-cell IB4200 pack for the same price.

What about the elite 4800 25 C packs which are the same price at cheapbatterypacks.com? Anyone tired those? What about the 30c ones which are still only $160 for a 4s 4500mah pack? Nobody answered my thread from earlier.

They say they hold their burst discharge for 3 seconds, how long do other brands of batteries hold their burst discharge for?
