I get 40 minutes of runtime in my 1/10 4w buggy (5000mah). Most of the time I don't actually drive the car for the whole pack. I suppose if I had a whole day (8 hours) at the track I would be driving mabey two to four hours of that time.
If I had a lipo that would do 4 hours of drive time I would consider it sufficient. If 5000mah=40min then 30,000mah would net me 4 hours of drive time. Going with the 10 times capacity idea, the pack I would want would be 60% the size and weight of my current lipo. Roughly 240grams and 27mm x 83mm x 16mm at 30,000mah and cost $775.00 (at 6 times the cost of my current lipo).
I don't realy see the need for a more powerful motor setup though, as there is only so much the buggy can do on it's lid ;)
If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...
now how much would a 120000 mah lipo weigh?
well considering the maxamps 2s 12000mah is 545 grams, this would be 5450 grams, which is 12.1 pounds. um. say hello to the 45lb e-maxx with 24hr runtime.
and only cost $2300 for a 2s battery.
Sounds like a Toyota Preis... LOL
Lets hope that it is not 1:1 on power to weight ratio increase.
