lincpimp I believe you are right I use the same setup on my maxx only with the mip cvds. It has the same problem with spacing, but because I am racing my maxx and I am running it just a tad higher than bones level it rests inside the cup perfect. If I extended the arms fully they would fall out, but since I run them bones level they are fine. I also have the adapters mike sells but have not used them, but it seems if i did it would fix the problem because the mip outdrives are longer and should fix the problem. I just don't feel like rebuilding the diff for the 5 time and it works for my application.

Once you put the shafts in the diffs you should be ok to run the cups that came with the cvds, they will be longer than the hb diff cups.

I wouldn't use them like that.
Is there a way you can cut off a piece of the arms, so you can tighten the pillowballs a bit further in order to have the dogbone in a bit deeper?

Why, the shaft adapters work fine with the stock revo driveshafts.

@lincpimp;
Please tell me you see the problem here..
I wouldn't use them like that, they will pop out, or get bend, that's for sure.

Oh, sorry, thought that you meant not to use the traxxas cvd cups with mike's output adapters. He definately should not use the setup in the pic, not a good idea!

Personally, I wouldn't use CVDs with RPM arms anyway.

On my G-revo, i got a set of sliders that are over 3 years old, the rears are twisting finally. I am impressed because they have survived every setup i have thrown at them. So far, its seen a novka HV 440, 9XL MM and quark 125 and currently, a Neu 1515/2,5/d/f. they have also handled breaking a Pinion on the V1 RC-Monster 1/8 diff conversion
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

There is a guy in the Traxxas forum that says he has broken 2 sets of cvds running a Novak. Since I have both I'll start with the 3.3 and probably sell the CVDs on Ebay.
