2600 Kv rated motors? which one?

You should try searching for a Aveox. Steve Neu used to work for Aveox and his motors are simular in design, but a little better. I had Aveox since they came out and love all of them. I have bought used Aveox motors from $35-100.

ive seen aveox somewhere. but they seem to be too high price for me. and my whole purpose of finding a high kv motor is so i dont have to use 4s to get good speeds. i cant afford it. plus i want too keep batteries that i can use in all of my cars, including rustler, df-03, and a tc. 4s cant do that... and it would cost too much for me to run twin 2s packs. so you really dont think that it could pull the wheels up? even if i kept first gear? that bums me out

what about that first aveox? the one for $125. should i just wait a month or so untill i can afford to get twin 2s packs as well. go on and get the feigao 7XL and a mamba max esc, run it on 3s for a while and then get 4s when i can afford it? im still suprized that a 7XL on 3s couldnt pull the wheels up though... my VXL system on 3s can do a standing back flip in an e-maxx. and the maxx ahs aluminum arms bulkheads and towers. so it weighs only a little less than my revo

I run a 7XL, 3S, and MM in my Revo and it works great. I can't be positive on if it will do a wheelie, because I have a center diff, but it should do one no problem...It takes off damn fast, so I would say wheelies aren't gonna be a problem.

so with a center diff on 7xl, 3s, and mamba it launches hard? harder than nitro would? because if it can launch as hard or harder than a OS.18 or the traxxas 3.3 than it will easily lift the wheels up. my 3.3 lifts up, so if it can launch that hard, than it will easily flip. do you have any videos or pictures of it?

No videos or anything. Somewhere around here theres a thread with some low res pictures, before I got the RC-M motor mount, etc. I ran it for the first time Saturday and it ran pretty good, went for a run yesterday, and before I could adjust the tranny to get it to shift right, it stripped something in one of the diffs. Its in pieces right now. So far I've eliminated the tranny as a problem, but other than that I don't know...

how did it run on saturday? does it launch as hard or harder than nitro on 3s? and my diffs need to be rebuilt anyways so this will be a good time to change them out. if it launches anything like nitro id be happy with it. id say check the internal diff gears and maybe even your driveshafts.

Yea, I'd say it runs better than nitro, definitely. Only thing is the top speed. It was doing around 25 in 1st gear yesterday, so I would say it should do about 35-37ish in 2nd, although it only hit 2nd a couple times saturday. I only ran it for about 5 minutes saturday though, since the battery was almost dead. I never even ran it on a full battery, so I dunno. Anywho, I'll get back to you in the next day or two after I get everything fix up on it and running top notch with some fresh batteries.

well im not looking to go 50. i bash in tight areas and race on a track that you dont even get up to full speed anyways. you probly never go over 30 on my track, its not that long. so 35mph and crazy hard launches sounds just about perfect to me

Try the Mega. It has tons of torque and draws less AMPs. Power from torque is really nice.

but its 3500 kv. thats basically my VXL motor with a larger shaft. and yeh my vxl is insane in an e-maxx, but thats a maxx, not exactly the same as a revo. i just dont see it pushing a revo. atleast not without some crazy gearing. the thing is its not a torque motor. i would think the 7xl at 2345Kv will have more torque than the mega at 3500Kv

If you're assuming that the lower KV motor always has more torque, you'd be wrong. Without looking over all the specs, i'd assume that the mega has more torque. They're pretty friggin massive. Of course, I havn't looked at them both that closely so I can't say, but it's worth further investigation.

One thing I can darn well gaurantee, is that mega is NOTHING like your vxl, 5mm shaft or not.

I will second that, the vxl is a feigao clone, and about the same as a 10s feigao. it works fine in a 2wd 10th truck, and a pair look to be good in the new emaxx. I will say that the mega motors are nicely made.

The Mega has 6 poles hance the torque. They are extremely efficient compared to the Feigao. Plus the Mega will handle 4S lipos and use 1/2 the AMPs than the 7XL. Even the SV27 brushless motor will have more torque then the 7XL. I used it on my MBX5T and I know this bacause I also used the 7XL in it.
