Good. I think evryone should have more trucks than they really need. And don't blame me for your lack of self control.

LOL, I havent even finished my .5 yet, and I need a new truck, but a new truck sounds alot more fun then a motor and esc

It just looks WAY to cool, I will need some LST shocks (bling, and there nice shocks, batt, esc, motor)

Im thinking HV? Plane speedo or something like linc does, and then a 2200 mah 8s pack? With a 13XL?

I duno, I know I want it, thats enough

I'm not getting that crazy with mine. I have been running mine with as close to a stock setup as I could get for a brushless conversion. Its only got a BK12020 and a 1940/7 on 5s a123 and 5s lipo. I'm sticking with the power source for this update, Just getting the new tranny forward chassis so I can get the batteries off of the side of the TVP. I hated that setup, but couldnt come up with a better solution. The FLM conversion is genius IMO. I may have to reconfigure my a 123 packs to fit in the new space between the chassis plates. Maybe just one big 5s2p brick.

And the LST shock conversion is just to get a little better handeling and durability. The long stock shocks are a crappy setup IMO. Other than that, the truck has been all but bulletproof running bone stock drivetrain. I might upgrade to a metal spur as well now that Mike has the super hard pinions. I do tend to strip the spurs quite often.

Here is what mine looks likew now. They are old pictures from when it was new, but it still looks exactly the same except dirtier. I'll post some pics when I finsh this latest upgrade as well.

EDIT: BTW... I did the Savage as an experiment to see if it would hold up to my normal bashing without any of the major/expensive upgrades like my Emaxx took. On my emaxx , by the time I upgraded evrything to the point that it would stand up to daily bashing, it cost me so much I was afraif to bash it. It was kinda pointless. Lets just say the emaxx has been parted out and sold off for a long time now and I never looked back and the Savage is still running with a completely stock drivetrain and chassis without any major problems except a couple bent shock shafts. (hence the lst shock upgrade). Love the Savage as a daily basher!!! couldnt recomend it more.

That is a really nice truck jhautz. I have to agree that the savage is stock very tough. I have basically only broken a few parts and others have just worn out from old age. Most of the parts I have just changed because I could on my savage. The biggest problems with my savage were maintenance was a pain, diffs broke and the half tank lean problem. The first 2 issues have been fixed with the savage X with alloy diff cups and easy access cases and there is no half tank lean on an electric.

Jhautz I can't wait to see your truck finished with the forward tranny chassis and to hear how it goes. I love the look of your brushless conversion. It's very clean and simple. You will definitely have yours running before mine as I don't have any electronics for mine yet.

I just want to clarify to make sure I understand...

So it was designed to work with the FLM Towers and Arms, but you think it will work with the stock arms. I would need to mount this on the outside of the arm rather than in the middle section where the stock shocks mount and put a metal shock bushing in the space where the shock would normally mount?

Is that correct? I'm having kind of a hrad time picturing exactly how this would mount to the arm.
Yes we did design this around our set up. However I did check out the X arm and you can mount the shock to the outside of the arm and include the shock spacer in the stock point to fill up the gap

On all new LST kits will include all necessary spacers to work w/o any problems on stock X arms.

All current FLM Savage towers work with the X.
A few months back we did update them and machined a place for the skid brace to mount.

OK guys I'm going to order a set of Maxx FLM Towers and the LST Shock conversions. I have an extra set of LST shocks and have been wondering about this for a while. Way to go FLM!

I'll update with pics once I get them on how to mount them to your Maxx.

Sorry, I just noticed this is a FLM Savage thread. I'll post it in the Maxx thread when it's done.
