Ok the deal went down with making a custom CNC machines aluminum motor mount. It should be here late this week sometime and pics will definately be posted. As for the motor I am 100% certain that the 50-65 400kv is the one I want. It has all the stuff Im looking for and has a pretty decent kv rating. Heres the motor- http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=4914

Hoping that I can get a little more guidance along threw this build from lincpimp, sikeston34m and many others...

Oh ya and I tested the MM with the new 3.04 firmware and it works great! Its alot smoother than before. If you have any questions about it pm me.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and answer as many ?s as I can. That way we can have an open discussion instead of PMs. Hell, I may even learn something myself!

Well when I was using the 3.01 firmware it seemed a little to coggy for what Im use to... Once I downloaded the new 3.04 firmware onto the MM it ran noticably smoother. Less cogging but more FET/MOSFET sound. I couldnt be happier with how good the MM ran the 50-55 600kv. That just tells me that once I get the MMM and get it all setup properly I will have no worries because I trust Castle as much as I trust Losi and Losi is "Top Notch" IMO.

Will it start the outrunner smoothly from a standing stop without cogging?

Are you getting some good low speed driveability?

With the new 3.04 software it started fairly smooth. Coulda been better but I can complain. The MM just wasnt meant to run outrunners... I sure hope the MMM will run it smoother though. The MM also did get hotter than I liked. Run a fan over it and get the settings correct and you should have very minimal cogging and good overall running.

Hey TD - If you don't have holes in the MM case already, do that. It really helps cool it down. Blowing a fan through those holes also helps big-time. You can put a hole in the bottom of the case and have fans on top and bottom too, if it will fit.

I thought about doing that for awhile but gave up on the idea because it voids the warranty... I will on the other hand blow one or two fans over it eventually.

Running 4s voids the warranty.

The guy finally got done making my mount and will be ready to ship it out Im guessing within the next week or so because he has to get a few other projects done beofre he has a chance to send mine out. I also made my final decision on what motor to get. I dont know if you guys will like it or not but IMO it suites for what Im going to be using it for.
Here it is- http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=4572

All the specs add up to what Im looking for in a powerful yet compact outrunner. I think that this will do fine in my warhead as a direct drive setup. I will also be ordering (4x) RCM revo 8mm yokes soon so that I can get all that stuff hooked up and working. Let me know what you guys think.

Wow! That outrunner looks like a tank- with my limited knowledge of outrunners, I can't complain!
