Thanks, I tried to do a nice job on this buggy!

I will have the shaft welded up tomorrow and all should be ok when he turns is back to 5mm. Plus with the 5mm shaft it should not do this again! Hopefully!

I can't wait until Mike starts selling the diffs with the integrated slipper, that wil realy take some stress off the motor shaft!

Somewhat of an update. The lhs finally has my pinions, so I will pick them up tomorrow. I will have to mod the motor mount to get the motor closer to the center so that the mesh will be good.

Otherwise everything else seems to be working fine. I ran a full pack thru it and it was ridiculous, a bit too fast for my bashing area. Got decent runtime and the temps were ok, would like to see them slightly lower, so the 11t pinion will most likely be the best bet.

I also picked up another hyper 7, this one has the pivot ball front suspension. It also has the complete rcproducts design kit, with the trays, motor mount, etc. I have a 8xl and a mtroniks truck esc to try out in it. That may be for sale soon, how knows.

I will post pics and info when I get everything back together, hope I have time tomorrow.

Those are some sweet lookin' battery trays and your conversion is very clean, lincpimp. I also converted a Hyper 7; check mine out.

Subscribe: I too have a Hyper-7 to convert! Watching this build closely. Still looking for finished pics showing your servo configuration. Why wouldn’t the stock servo plate work again? Do the RCP trays interfere with the stock mounting?

The RCP trays take up 1 hole that the stock standoff mounts to. Look at the pic on the rcp site and you will see what the servo mount needs to look like.

Ok, snagged a pinion for this project to gear it down a bit. Only dropping 1 tooth, but that should be perfect. I will have to remove the mount, and make the slots slightly longer so that I can ge the smaller pinion to mesh correctly.
