Does anyone have an update on this? I'd like to hear about feedback on the chassis (build, weight, performance) and see pics if you have any.

Also, is there any kind of a lexan shield for the underside to keep dirt/mud from spraying everything?

Mike has been working with flm and they are redesigning the chassis so that you can fit 8cells side by side. I ordered mine a while ago, so i've been waiting, but im sure it will be worth it when i get it :)

Hi all, I just got off the phone with fastlane and they told me the chassis would hold (8 cells) flat. and if you want a lower COG you could mount the battires on the bottom of the chassis. I have already bought the A-arms, Hidrids, shock towers. Next is the chassis and the 1/8 gears. With a full fastlane chassis you are set for life! I will be posting my before pictures soon. And continue as I build.

I think we have finalized the design(FLM) on the chassis, Jesse, so your chassis should be on its way pretty soon. 8 cells per side-top OR bottom), and it will comfortably hold stick packs and side by side packs. It does look a little different than the picture(had to make it a little wider), and I will get some pictures posted when I have them.
For bulletproof, UE is of course known for their durabilty, as well as their price. FLM is also excellent on durability, AND price. For 1/8 diffs, nearly any 1/8 buggy diff will fit the hybrid bulks(FLM) or VBS(UE), and this pretty much puts the diffs into the "set it and forget it" category in terms of durability.

Dooley...welcome to the forums! :)
