I've typically preferred one big class. This way you can really measure yourself against all the other guys. Only trouble, my E is still setup for 5 mins racing. Even if I had the battery capacity my motor and speedo a very hot after 5mins. Cooling it would take some effort and likely some gearing changes.

Next season I'm giving in. Getting a UMT, likely an LSP. I'll still race the E when possible, which at my local track should be every week.

The current crop of MT's should have seperate classes for sm block and b block, because you have a problem with $600 on road motors running with a TRX 2.5 and thats not fair.
I hear you about the SB versus BB issue.

There are many same or similiar issues (like SB v. BB) w/ "outlaw" and "run whatcha brung classes" ...and long threads discussing these issues. I don't wanna get too long winded so I'll summarise in a sentence.

Think of this proposal as club racing w/ the perks of organized racing.

Me too. :devil I believe the more competitors the merrier.

I'd love to see more Jato's in the 1/10 truck class. Betcha you'd see conversion kits to make some of those 2wd 1/10 trucks into 4wd or more 4wd 1/10 truck kits coming out.

I have to catch myself so I don't give out too much detail right now as I'm still working things out and far from ready to "go live."

What's the setup on your Maxx like? Weight, gearing, batts (voltage and mah), motor, tires?

LSP is a good race truck. "UMT" is definately taking off. After the last big race I was at there were two classes of UMT (called "1/8 truggie" on the drivers' sheet)...its definately a hot class.

I'm staying away from the usual rides in UMT...just can't follow along I guess. :^D

You can see my truck here:

I'm looking forward to racing UMT and EMT. As it is now, it's hard to go from my tiny XXX-4 or XXX-T to the Maxx, they are very different.

You're not alone...the 1/8 truck bug is biting everybody. I'll get some pics of my new truck in the next couple of months. It'll be fun trying something new...you know, sniffing nitro.

hehehe. It'll be parted out w/ everything else. Hasn't been used yet...was still fiddling w/ my PC power supply (which is basically done, but not completely tested under peak load).

"what's his name" has his own chargers for his Maxx. He's going to keep them, and I'm putting back the stock EVX and Titans because he decided racing was too intense so he doesn't need all the power I gave him. :-)

btw, when do you start at HP. I'll stop by (like I do on a weekly basis) and shoot the brushless-bull w/ ya. btw, don't tell 'em you know me, I wanna know what my customer name is when I come next time...!@#$ing young people. :^D
