There will be some V3 controllers with 6.5mm plugs on the battery side.

We got the new cases in TODAY, so they are mailing out cases to people who got the 25 "early" MMM V3 controllers.

The controllers all shipped with V3 firmware. The V3 firmware just isn't available on the web yet, because we have to make sure it still works OK with all of the other controllers, not just the MMM.

Thanx!

Hi from germany !

Dear Patrick,
I sent you an unused V2 MMM - can you confirm that I will receive a V3 with the new case ?

Best regards,

Tobias

Can you plug it into Castle Link and see if the firmware is anything other than version 1.19?

My guess is they are having you test the new hardware on the pcb and firmware (maybe) to see how it holds up in peoples' setups. Meanwhile, they are obviously waiting for the new cases.

Well, Patrick beat me...

I sure hope that V3 firmware gets updated soon.

So, could you also comment, Patrick, on the clearance between the plugs on the motor side and the heat sink?

V3 software will be online either tonight or early tomorrow.

There is no issue with clearance between the plugs and the heat sink. We've tried every possible combination of short between the plugs and the heat sink, and it just doesn't cause any problems or issues. (usually it just ablates the aluminum and keeps right on going. -- in no case does an output short through the heat sink cause ESC failures.)

How does a short accross the motor ouputs or battery inputs effect the lipo battery itself. Even a momentary dead short for a lipo can mean a dramatically shortened life for the cells.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Motors (first shipment will be 2200 and 2650Kv) are supposed to ship from China on November 14th.

Thanx!

I am getting there... I have to remove another MMM from my lst to test it. That truck runs 6s, so I figured it would be the best test of the esc. Plus I can plug the wires directly in, as it has the same bullet setup. I took the photos as soon as I got it.
