Really! I'll try 18/54 later on. It's pretty scary fast now with 18/66. Does your speedo run hot at all?

With the 16 51 no. I even ran the 16 51 gearing in a monster gt convert with a 9xl emaxx tranny and some big huge tires. But I didn't run but 14 cells in that. But I was also running a 7020 bk esc. I run the mod 1 pitch

nice truck, im getting ready to start my own e-revo build. new the the forum and all, just looking up info about BL motors, and batteries. ur pics caught my eye, and gave me an idea, and just wanted to say thanks. i live about 20 mins from the gulf coast, and it never came to me to run my truck on the beach. thanks for the idea, me and my friend are racing on the beach this weekend, and thanks to all of u guys on the forum for all the info on electric, its really fueling my fire to start a e-revo build.

Would running in that sand contribute to the high temps? After all, the truck bites harder and works harder in sand then on a track or pavement.

It may. It accually has to pull harder than like on hard pack. Maybe the spinning to. Lets the motor free wind some what to much.
