Have you tried baby powder with an electric razor? I had to do that when I lived in the Philippines because of the humidity.

I actually just shave with a beard trimmer now because my wife doesn't like my face fully shaven anyway. lol

I keep a clean shaved head too. I use Fusion blades (Mach III before that) and shave in the shower. Soaking in a hot shower for a few min helps a lot I think. On the neck, shave up, not down if you get cut easy.

I too have the same problem as alot of you. I thought I was alone. lol It seems every time I shave, I break out pretty bad. It actually hurts to shave cause my skin is so sensitive and I can't get a close shave to save my life. My solution = don't shave. I really hate not being able to shave and having to use the eletric clippers all the time to keep it manageable, but not much options. I've considered the laser crap, but I don't even wanna know how much that cost...

My face is not that sensitive with medium growth but, I have been liking this Anthony Logistics stuff with throw away razors for a clean shave.

": eucalyptus oil to heal, squalene to lubricate, aloe vera gel to soothe, an infusion of hops (do not drink) to relax, a bunch of vitamins to nourish: A, B5, C, D and E. Natural moisturizing oils soften and lubricate the beard, helping provide a close shave. No Benzocaine so you can't over-shave. Shave Cream washes easily off the blade."

Hey Tex
Sorry to hear of your troubles, you are not alone. I hate shaving with a burning passion! I have similar trouble, and the best thing I have found is to wash may hair and face in hot water while showering with shampoo, gets the hair nice and soft. Then I use a Mach 3 and make sure the blade is changed as soon as the moisturizer strip is gone. In winter when it gets me the worst I use the Neutrogena aftershave. So far this is the best solution I have found.

Hope you find something that works for you, cause a raw face all day sucks!

OK, I do remember something from a while back that I have been doing that has helped my skin, might work for you.

A few years back i got poison sumac really bad and ended up having to go to a dermatologist. While I was there I mentioned that in the winter the skin under my eyebrows, mustache and goatee would dry out really bad and get red and sore with some skin flaking. The dermatologist told me to wash my face with head and shoulders once a day or so and that should help. Well I did not remember till last year and gave it a try. It really helped, no more irritated skin under the facial hair. Maybe give that a try on your face and neck in the shower before you shave. I let it sit in my hair and facial hair for a few mins while I scrub down, then rinse it out. I usually do this every other day, and use normal shampoo on the other days.

I had tried all kinds of cremes and medicated stuff to no avail, but the head and shoulders did the trick. The zinc in the shampoo is good for psoriasis, from what I have heard, so maybe it will help sensitive skin too?

I dont know if anyone has tried a difference with the mirrors I noticed a lot more ingrown hairs when I purchased one of those 20X mirrors with the light that the women use, Makes a big difference you can actually see what ingrown hairs are causing the problems and get a fine tweezer and pull the stubborn follicles out and use a good aftershave nivea or natural product. Even just for shaving you can see everything
